I wanted to post a few links for everyone to check out first:
On Friday, I'll be departing from the Bangor airport at about 8:30am. Then we land in Detroit at about noon, and leave for St. Paul about an hour later. Then we have a flight from St. Paul straight to Toyko. The last flight alone is almost exactly 12 hours. Getting from Bangor to Detroit will take 6 hours (including layovers), so that makes about 18 hours of travel time total. I've got 3 books to read, plenty of movies to watch on my PSP, and of course an entire iPod worth of music to listen to, so I shouldn't be too board. I've never been on a plane for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time, so this should be REAL interesting. Haha.
Apparently when we get land in Tokyo, a bunch of people from the airport are going to board the plane and take everyone's body temperature by scanning them. If anyone is above 98.6 degrees, the entire plane is going to be sent to a hotel outside the city. My professor told us all to bring some Advil on the plane and pop it about an hour before we land.
I think I'm all packed. I haven't discovered anything I forgot yet. But then again, that never really happens until you get there anyway.
If anybody has questions, just leave me a comment and I'll answer them in my next post.
